Quietly, President Obama has withdrawn Mayor Villaraigosa’s VIP invitation to the inauguration ceremony on Monday, Jan. 21, and to the Presidential Ball.
The reason: It was Mr. Obama’s response to the scandal created last weekend in Cabo San Lucas by the candid Villaraigosa-Charlie Sheen wild partying photos that were tweeted from a Baja California hotel.
The party scene was at a hotel reputed to be owned, clandestinely, by Zetas drug cartel lords.
If Hizzoner wishes to attend the Presidential inauguration, he will have to do it while standing on the other side of the police barricades, as part of the public crowd.
If Mr. Villarigosa wants to attend the gaudy Inaugural Ball, he will just have to buy the multi-thousand dollar ticket out of his own pocket.
