I feel it more every day. It is in the air I breathe, the food I eat, my music. Love is growing all around me.

I knew that marrying my partner, Dennis, would be a life-changing experience. But I thought it would take time, like planting fresh seeds in a garden.

To my surprise, the morning after our ceremony, I woke up wearing new skin. When I saw him gazing into my eyes in complete understanding, we proceeded to laugh, then started poking each other as if to be sure we were not still dreaming.

In our wedding reception last weekend, a friend took one look at me and poked ME. He said that I looked so radiant that it must be contagious. And, after he touched my shoulder, he confessed to really feeling different. Deep Waters

While I am undoubtedly feeling love and passion, I am also experiencing a sense of peace and solidarity completely new to me. I know, simply KNOW, that this union is one of the best decisions of my life (alongside choosing the cello and my parents). While I am sure I will experience all emotions along the journey, I know that great things lie in store.

As I love to express my emotions through music, I have written a song to symbolize this stillness and beauty. Please visit www.carterdewberry.com/music.html and scroll down to where you see the “Wedding Song” to hear what I mean.

Thank you, Dennis, for agreeing to be my life partner.
