Oooooh, He Is So Darned Christian

Two factors about Republican contender Craig Huey in Tuesday’s South Bay Congressional runoff election uncommonly irritate the left-wing sycophants at the Los Angeles Titanic:

• One of his several business enterprises advises Christians how to vote.

• He has self-financed his entire campaign, $800,000.

Meanwhile, his heavily favored and even more heavily flavored opponent, Los Angeles City Councilperson Janice (I Am So Darned Honest I Stink) Hahn, who lost a one-syllable spelling bee to a tree stump the other day, has squeezed a million dollars from pure-minded citizens who just seek a clean government regardless of party. Ms. Hahn’s pure-minded sources have been the standard Democrat Party prostitutes: labor unions, The World Is Ending environmental groups, I Hate Normal Men ladies’ groups along with a huge donation from Oddballs United.

The Titanic is frosted that Mr. Huey survived into the showdown round in a district that only has elected Dems since Maimondes was a stripling.

The Titanic is frosted because Mr. Huey is paying his own way. Maybe a Republican could not fundraise a million bucks in this strange territory the way one of the best connected Democrats in Los Angeles has.

The Times may be most frosted because the self-made Mr. Huey, a 40-year businessman with a world of savvy but zero political experience, wears his Christianity the same way a cop proudly flashes his badge. Ooooooh, he is so disgustingly religious, so uncomfortably true to his traditional values.

And then there are the sexist beanbag centerspread girls from Planned Abortionhood magazine. They can’t utter the politically toxic term a-b-o-r-t-i-o-n, preferring the typically misleading Democrat-manipulated phrase “a woman’s right to choose.” Same way Democrats cannot call themselves liberals. They are (cough, then grunt) pro-GRESS-ives, which slithers off the tongue like dishonest chocolate syrup.

It sounds like a Democrat assembly — let’s not use real words like abortion. Let’s fool the rubes.

This brings us to one of the sly old dames of juxtaposed journalism.

Aging Jeanie (rhymes with meanie) Merl was assigned to the campaign by the Titanic, and she has done her job nicely. According to Merl the Pearl, the daughter of the legendary Kenny Hahn is a sin-free angel descended from heaven while Mr. Huey, the wretch, is a dirty old sexist who opposes abortion, higher taxes, favors a shrunken government — oooh, what a nasty rad he is.

Merl the Perl, a co-conspirator in Lightbulb Hahn’s campaign, quoted “anonymous observers,” meaning in her opinion, Mr. Huey’s socially conservative views are out-of-step with “the district’s moderate voting patterns.”

“Moderate” is one of those Democrat-minted feel-good words.

Here a liberal denies that he is liberal because it has an odious image, while “moderate” sounds so darned mushy and reasonable.

Let’s talk briefly about a town hall meeting Mr. Huey hosted two nights ago in Torrance.

The only reporting I have seen on it was by the LA Weekly at http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2011/07/craig_huey_town_hall.php

Unapologetically left-wing, the Weekly often surpasses the Titanic in quality of hometown reporting. But when it comes down to reporting on Democrat vs. Republican, the bigoted boys at the Weekly can’t help themselves.

The Weekly reporter, who wrote (or was edited) more honestly when he was at the Daily Breeze, insecurely stuffed his Huey story with smarminess that unforgivably demeaned his readers.

He said that Mr. Huey “touted his seven secrets for jump-starting the economy.”

Instead of identifying the candidate’s list, the angry liberal reporter wrote:

They are — spoiler alert — a bunch of conservative talking points about cutting spending and repealing President Obama's health care law.

“If we do these seven things, we can boom the economy,” Huey told the crowd of about 75 people, mostly seniors. “We can have the middle class strengthened, and a whole new America again… We can have a 7-8% growth rate… We will have a housing boom again if we do this.”

With such puerile journalism being routinely practiced in this liberal bastion, it is a miracle if a Republican ever is elected.

At least Mr. Huey has them worried.
