Since Maryland’s left-of-the-mainstream governor, JFK-like Martin O’Malley, is interested in running for the 2016 White House if/when Hillary melts, perhaps you should know the latest wackiness Mr. O’Malley has embraced in one of America’s most traditionally liberal states.
Race-based school discipline.
Two weeks ago, Maryland’s Board of Scrupulously Fair Education (for Some) approved a groundbreaking policy, the dailycaller.com reports, that unbelievably calls for each race or ethnicity to receive a proportionate degree of punishments, regardless of the number or seriousness of infractions.
Quoting the Washington Post, Maryland’s two dozen school districts are required to “track data to ensure that minority and special education students are not unduly affected by suspensions, expulsions and other disciplinary measures.
“Disparities would have to be reduced within a year and eliminated within three years.”
“Special ed students” were written into the policy to deflect the heat the educators are taking for their Jim Crow in Black and Brown policy.
Naturally, the man in the White House clumsily put his index finger into a light socket.
President Obama, who told Jay Leno the other night that Charleston and Savannah are in the Gulf of Mexico – which came as a shock to God – naturally supports this policy that rewards badly behaving black and Hispanic students.
Two days after the racial bigots at the Maryland Board of Scrupulously Fair Education (for Some) passed this law, Swishy made his government garden grow even faster. He created one more mentally crippled government agency.
Shooting honesty and accuracy through the heart, he issued an executive order to form a government panel that promotes “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”
Even though Swish probably could not define the term “disparate,” which was written for him, he clumsily was trying to say that if a black boy is penalized, a white boy should be, too.
Go, team.
As our country’s favorite excuse-maker for bad guys and other failures, he tacked on still another angry, ignorant, race-fueled observation:
“African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline.”
A veteran at covering his tracks for stupid statements, his misleading assertion was incorrectly labeled, “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence.”
In baseball, Swish, that is called striking out four times.
