My cat Shelby has been crying a lot lately. Is she sick? Just miserable in this heat wave? Shelby turned fourteen today. That’s old. My friend Holly said she has a cat who’s twenty-one. OMG. I don’t want Shelby to live that long. It’s not that I don’t love her, it’s just… I don’t want her to live that long…
I definitely waited too long between lunch and dinner. When I ate dinner at 8, my hands were literally shaking. I had a snack around 3, but I guess a hard-boiled egg and a piece of toast just didn’t cut it for five hours. I had a yummy dinner, complete with an appetizer and something healthy, carrots. But I think I ate too much. I feel really full. I still want a cup of tea and dessert…
I was good and didn’t get dessert when I went food shopping on an empty stomach. Now I want dessert. Oftentimes I’ll have a piece of whole grain toast for dessert. That’s very healthy. You should try it. Thank goodness I have one piece of bread left…
Shelby is crying again. She wants these new treats I got, but I can’t give them to her because they upset her stomach, which she doesn’t understand. That’s why she’s crying. Grrr….
There goes Jackson. He’s the new Golden Retriever puppy of my upstairs neighbors. I am in love with Jackson. I am sure my neighbors think I’m a crazy lady. I open the door every time I hear them in the hallway, and I watch them take him out to pee every two hours. Even though one time I did go outside to check the weather, I think they know I did it just to see Jackson. Look at that picture and tell me you wouldn’t do the same. I haven’t talked this much to them since they moved in. I was good just now and let them come in without bothering them…
I’ve now mentioned being good twice. I guess I want to be good…
My significant other and I made up a drinking game. We don’t play it with alcohol, though, we play it with tea. What you do is, you turn on the home and garden channel and watch a show about a couple buying a house. You have to take a sip of tea every time someone says, “It’s a little small,” “Granite,” “Feature wall,” or “Stainless steel.” It’s a lot of fun, and your tea disappears quickly…
Toyota has all these new commercials. Did they fix their problems? If I ever bought a car, I wouldn’t buy a Toyota just because it seems like there were so many problems a few months back. I’m glad I don’t drive…
My tea is ready. I better drink it now; it’s 8:45 p.m., and it has caffeine. Some would say that’s not a smart thing to do, to drink caffeinated tea this late at night. But it’s my treat for myself and it doesn’t always affect me. I finally learned how to spell caffeine without spellcheck. But apparently I just spelled “spellcheck” wrong. Spell check? No red line. Who knew there was a space there?…
Well, those are my thoughts for the day. Try writing down your thoughts free flow sometime. Gets your brain juices flowing…
My tea is calling. And my toast. I’m writing this on Wednesday. When you read it, it will be Friday. Have a good weekend!…
