• Drove my S.O. crazy during a three-hour layover in Texas (Who’s restless? Yee haw!)

• Ate tacos

• Went to the San Diego Zoo

• Witnessed my S.O.’s first experience with a cat who didn’t bite or scratch

• Went to an ostrich and emu farm

• Went back to Neverland Ranch (more desolate than last year, and didn’t make any Facebook friends)

• Saw miniature horses

• Ate taquitos

• Ate flautas

• Ate rice and beans

• Saw elephant seals in Cambria

• Saw and correctly identified a vole

• Ate a tri-tip sandwich, the likes of which we do not have back east

• Went to Hearst Castle. Made a Facebook friend.

• Drove up Highway 1 (more correctly, was driven up Highway 1)

• Stopped at Nepenthe restaurant for lunch. Can you say Ambrosia burger?
