Mr. ‘Z’, a Claim Jumper

I wish Robert Zirgulis, Mr. “Z,” would have checked the list of people supporting Scott Zeidman before jumping to his hastily drawn conclusion.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s being pigeon-holed even before deciding on making my choice. I have been lucky enough to have received an invite to all the mainstream candidates’ kickoffs. I attended all with the intent of listening to what each candidate had to say.

The Swiss Understand

The problem might be that I have not actually come out for any candidate, as yet. I may not decide to support anyone in the upcoming School Board election. Who knows? Now, because of Mr. “Z’s” unfounded claim, I have to clarify, of all things, my sideline neutrality so far in this campaign.

Askng for My Support

A couple of weeks before his kickoff event, Scott Zeidman emailed my wife, Michael, and me, asking for our support. Michael gave hers. She is clearly listed among his supporters. But I declined, and I am not.

Image Is Everything

Yes, Mr. “Z” saw me, off to one side, in a picture taken at Scott Zeidman’s kickoff. But it was Mr. Zeidman’s campaign that decided to include my image in the picture. Being a photographer, I know that it would have been very easy to have cropped my ugly puss out of the picture. But I guess someone in the campaign thought, by including me, smirk and all, that it would somehow enhance Scott’s re-election campaign.

So there you have it. Thanks, Mr. “Z,” for wasting the readers’ time and mine in having to clarify your jumping to conclusions — yet again.
