Meet the Newest but Still Unofficial and Undecided Candidate

Nothing Is Final

“I have to caution you that I have not completely decided whether I will run,” she told the newspaper this afternoon.

The filing deadline is two weeks from today.

She took out papers two days ago to help her make up her mind about whether she will enter a race that also includes Mike Eskidge and Roger Maxwell.

“I read the local newspapers, and I had noticed about the two openings on the School Board,” Ms. Kline said.

“I thought it might be interesting to be involved, to contribute to the community.”

A Familiar Motivation

The mother of two children — a 6th grader and a toddler — Ms. Kline said she moved to Culver City 10 years ago, in part to capitalize on the quality of its public schools.

As for her philosophy, she said it is “Equal access to all children, as it says in the Ed(ucation) Code. I would also like to see as many students as possible be successful and be ready for the post-secondary world, whether that means college or working at a job.”
