What to make of the semi-final agreement with Iran that President Obama triumphantly announced yesterday?

We are to believe that the most prolific, ferocious sponsor of global terrorism has converted from lion to lamb – just in time for Easter and Passover –persuaded by the pleadings of a last-place U.S. negotiation team that is winless in its career.

Secretary of State John Kerry has not prevailed in a single negotiation since succeeding Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Obama, also winless diplomatically through six years and three months of his empty administration, has miscalled every shot that he has made in the Middle East.

The records of Mr. Kerry and Mr. Obama only will be matched long after somebody – perhaps the re-converted ayatollahs of Iran – has buried the United States deep into the turf.

The ginned-up Iranian crowds that daily march and shout “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” – even while Mr. Obama was reporting peace had been locked in – probably are just practicing for a school play.

What sunlight has been provided on the deal by the president of the United States?

None.

He only has sneered at Republicans and other ideological rivals, snarling “trust me.”

No doubt he wants us to trust him because of his dishonesty about Obamacare, immigration Benghazi, Syria, Libya, Yemen, ISIS, the IRA, the Justice Dept., his psychotically childish approach to Muslim terrorism, his coddling of the murderous ayatollahs while spitting into both eyes of the Israeli prime minister.

All left-wing newspapers this morning are celebrating the agreement, not a hint of caution in view.

Normative Americans are more realistic.
