[img]541|left|||no_popup[/img] After last week's rant and a few sympathetic comments, I have been inspired to clear communications surrounding my upcoming concert. Things really don't have to be that upsetting or complicated.

Making My Peace with the Past

For nearly a decade, I avoided performing traditional classical music. While I am now a versatile and multi-dimensional performer as a result, I decided it was time to make peace with my oh-so-classical past.

Over the last year, I have immersed myself in the great repertoire I loved as a child. I am celebrating this musical homecoming of sorts with a performance and a recording featuring Vivaldi's La Folia.

Of course, I haven't left my experimental tendencies behind. In this performance, I will incorporate loop technology to create a multi-voice experience for the audience. I will also have a few not-so-classical surprises and special guest in stor

Ms. Dewberry, an accomplished cellist, completed her DMA in Chamber Music Performance from UCLA in December 2005. She received her MM in Cello Performance from UCLA in June 2002 and her B.M. in Cello Performance from Western Michigan University in April 1998. She also holds a B.A. in French with a minor in Women's Studies and Philosophy.
