In my haste to go to Washington D.C. with fellow School Board candidate Kathy Paspalis to reclaim money from Acorn federal grants and give them back to our schools, I mentioned I would see Margaret Spellings, the former U.S. Secretary of Education. I should have said Arne Duncan, the current U.S. Secretary of Education. I will admit when I am wrong. And dear readers, that is what I will apologize to you for.

Meanwhile, I salute all the volunteers of all the candidatesfor the work they have done on the campaign that ends tomorrow. I want to especially heap praiseon my son, his friends and student volunteers for helping me reach almost every household in Culver City.

My son was trick-or-treating and canvasing on Halloween, dressed as a “Zirgulis canvasser” beaten and killed by an Acorn “community activist.” A couple of my friends went out dressed as a “pimp and prostitute” for Acorn.

…And I'm doing what I do best.
