As a former member of the City Council of Culver City, I am excited to join all five current Council members in endorsing Sen. Mark Ridley-Thomas for a seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Mark Ridley-Thomas has worked to reduce crime and violence by supporting law enforcement and working with communities to put gang prevention programs into effect.
He started “Days of Dialogue” to bring police, Sheriff's deputies, firefighters, religious leaders, businessmen and women, teachers and civic leaders together in communities to prevent divisive issues or problems from becoming flashpoints for incidents of neighborhood violence or civil unrest.
By bringing local business leaders together with community leaders and unions, Mark Ridley-Thomas succeeded in attracting $500 million in local investments that resulted in thousands of new jobs for residents.
If you are an early absentee voter, your ballot has probably already arrived. Please join me by choosing Mark Ridley-Thomas for Supervisor.
