Why Isn’t City Hall Pursuing Regulation of Those Culver City Cats?

If Culver City needs to fill its coffers, as City Manager Jerry Fulwood said at last night’s City Council meeting, why is it passing on mandatory spaying, licensing and microchipping of cats?

At least half of all animal control calls involve feral cats, injured cats, stray cat hoarders, dead cats and multiple litters of kittens.

It is only fair that cat owners pay their fair share.

Let’s get real. Keep things fair and stop trying to cobble together a program to placate the squeaky wheels in the community without fairness and fiscal responsibility.

I am all for animal control, but not sometimes animal control
