Re “It Can Get So Barren and Lonesome at the Top”
I have to agree with Gary Abrams’ comments yesterday when I look at the actions of the politicians and not just listen to their words.
Mr. Abrams said:
What’s it like being Culver City‘s “Most Feared Truthteller?” Has its positives and negatives, like any other “NOVEL” idea against status quo. Truth is, it’s a boring existence. Occasionally you get noise from some partied-up soul still intoxicated from all those campaign launch fumes. Never had to go past the first round, though. Undefeated by the way. Perfect 4 and 0. REVOLUTION! Rating politicians by action speaks louder than words. They will have an opportunity to respond if they choose. So far none has picked that option. Ever. Doubt if anything will change. How do you challenge the TRUTH? Motivation for running.
On the issue of our children and their education, I have found one thing to be true in the political world.
Politicians will always campaign for and vote for programs that improve the welfare and educations rights of the children — as long as it does not cost any money.
You see the Big money is reserved for the administration and the adults in these systems, not for the children.
I have found one thing to be true in the political world:
Children and animals are always the last to receive funding and the first to have funding cut.
The truth is, children and animals do not vote. That is why you seldom see a politician speaking up for them.
