Re “Apathy Is Why Dems’ School Board Candidates Failed”
To Carlene Brown,
I do not have much time this morning to devote to this discussion. However, I am particularly dismayed at your continual assertion that the United Parents of Culver City is “anti -union.” I have no factual idea why you would make such a statement.
If you are basing your contention on the fact that the UPCC did not endorse a single candidate that the Teachers Union endorsed, should one believe that the Teachers Union is “anti kids”? Both ideas are wildly fantastical, just plain wrong.
I am a member of the United Parents of Culver City. I personally know many of the members. Some are card-carrying union members. Carlene, what conversations with UPCC members have you had?
What written UPCC material have you read that backs up your charge that the UPCC is anti-union?
I am a member of the Culver City Democratic Club. Once again, I call for the club to implement absentee voting on endorsements. I wonder how many of the people who feel as you do about forcing paying members of the club to show up to a meeting vote by absentee in general elections.
