Re “If You Had 60 Days to Live”
Sorry to hear about your loss.
Here is my list.
I made it out 30 years ago and recently revisited it.
0. Spit on my pathology reports (hopefully my last act of hubris).
1. Make amends for previous behavior.
2. Mend broken relationships. Accept that I had a part in the breakdown.
3. Make sure my finances are in order to alleviate headaches for family, post-death.
4. Live at peace with myself and the world around me.
5. Always get in the longest line at DMV, gasoline station, grocery checkout.
6. Spend time with my wife and children and relatives.
7. Have a Fatburger three days in a row.
8. Unclutter my “stuff.” Give it away. Try to enable the good dreams of others
9. Treat all my friends to lunch.
10. Have a family council. Tell everyone. Celebrate.
11. Take my family to climb Mt. Fuji
12. Have already skydived but would like to wade in Ganges.
13. Play with my cat and dogs. Walk the dogs more often.
14. Fund a local project.
15. Create endowment at elementary school level for the arts.
16. Take time of extended solitude and communicate with my creator.
17. Release with love.
18. Continue to write bad poetry.
Thanks, Ari Noonan, for this opportunity to revisit this list.
