Re “Malsin Idea: How About a Giant Complex to House Both Police and Fire?”
Well, someone finally resurrected the idea the original Downtown Business Assn. spoke about, which was less than two years after the new City Hall and Fire Station opening in the 1990s.
Why would anyone with planning experience put a civic center in the middle of the prime commercial district?
It never made sense.
Downtown flourishes in spite of the poor civic planning.
So, if funds can be appropriated, move the entire civic center to a more suitable location and continue to develop the downtown into the best in L.A. County.
