Swimmingly Good Reason to Vote for Zirgulus

In these financially difficult times, the Culver City School Board doesn’t need another lawyer spouting platitudes about how they have passion for our schools.
The School Board needs a man with fresh ideas and bold actions. A man not afraid to speak out for our students, parents and teachers.
That man is Robert Zirgulis.
I am impressed with his practical plan to erase the School District deficit by selling the Culver City High School swimming pool, known as the Natatorium, to investors.
The investors would refurbish the Natatorium and make it a combination swimming pool and multi-purpose facility. They would then lease back the Natatorium to the School District. As a result, the school would get money from the sale of the Natatorium to pay off the deficit plus have money left over to lease a renovated facility that our students and the general public could use. The investors would be able to get a tax write off by depreciating the building. It would be a win-win situation for everyone.
The idea of selling the Natatorium alone makes Zirgulis qualified to be a School Board member. However, he has other interesting programs and initiatives such as a dog therapy program; elimination of bureaucracy and red tape; solar power for the schools to save utility expenses; capturing federal grant money for our schools, and internship programs for our students.
I am a proud supporter of Robert Zirgulis for School Board.
