The accompanying photo is of the Culver City Plunge. It is managed by the Parks and Recreation Dept.
This is a photo of wasted resources.
You can see the steam rising of the pool. The photo was taken on Sunday at 7 p.m. when the pool was closed.
No cover on the pool.
The School District is saying that if they rebuild the Natatorium (the indoor pool), it would be a waste of money because it costs too much to maintain the facility once it is reopened.
They are saying they don't have a plan to manage the pool after its reopened.
Can you blame them? I do not. Parks and Recreation is paid to manage this pool, and it is clear they can't do it efficiently or effectively.
The answer for the Natatorium is going to be a third party company will be needed to manage the Natatorium.
