While I hesitate to get involved in school politics, I think that Culver City voters should have the opportunity to decide whether passing a bond to improve our School District facilities makes sense or not.
The School Board heard from its independent election consultant that a bond likely would pass if placed on the ballot in November when three School Board seats will be decided.
As an individual, I would support a bond that would improve the learning environment for Culver City students.
As mayor, I believe the people should be allowed to decide and I see no reason to wait until next year to bring the matter before the voters.
