Re “Serah’s Gift, from Cops and Target, Introduces Her to the Community”

Thank you for the beautiful piece on Serah.

You captured her essence, the wonderful spirit of the Culver City Police Dept. (Officer Poulin and Sgt. Kellum) – plus the many motorcycle officers who showed up – such a fantastic showing) and the community support of Target and staff!

These days, there is so much bad news…

What a delight to spotlight a pleasant human interest story where the police (who always seem to get a bad rap) and community come together in behalf of bringing JOY…thrilled it was my little darling great niece, and even moreso, I am grateful that there's a happy ending.

So many children and parents are not so fortunate.

(My only sister, Tammy's mom/Serah's grandma, Marcia Renee aka LaLa – who managed lupus for many years – died shortly after her only son, Ryan, was in a serious car accident, leaving him in a coma for six months. Ryan had a stroke and died seven months after his mom…painfully sad. Six years later, it still breaks my heart.)

Serah's accident could have been another family tragedy. I thank God HE protected Serah.

Thank you for seeing the importance of this event and making time to publish/cover Serah's Gift.
