The more things change, the more they stay the same.
We may have voted for new City Council members, but Sol Blumenfeld, the the Community Development Director, continues to push pro-developer agendas .
Come on, Sol. Why would we trade open space for density because a developer promises to do something that ultimately benefits his project?
Granting exceptions to height restrictions, based on “benefits” such as residents being able to park their cars, or allow the city to pay for maintenance, makes no sense for anyone except the developer who would get the exemption.
We have already seen the Entrada Office Tower developers blow past residents’ objections.
When is the new Council going to sit down with Mr. Blumenfeld and explain that the goal is to make the city livable for its current residents?
