Re: “Readers, and Zirgulis, Respond to Zirgulis’s Ingenuity”
I am deeply disappointed at the response to my letter asking a reasonable and logical question of the Robert Zirgulis campaign for the School Board.
By questioning my intelligence because I chose to ask a question (about potential Natatorium investors), Mr. Zirgulis has lost me and possibly other potential voters.
So I will ask another question, after stating for the record that I am not a “shill.” Nor am I in the employe of a “political machine,” which is code, apparently, for those who ask uncomfortable questions:
Mr. Zirgulis, If I were a student in your classroom, would you have questioned my intelligence for asking a logical question?
Do you believe this type of response is what will be effective in working together with the other School Board members and other stakeholders in the school system.
For the record, when I vote I will choose the candidates who treat every question and voter as they would like to be treated themselves.
Mercifully, I did not submit my question to the League of Women Voters (at their Oct. 8 candidate forum).
However, I do wonder now if there would have been a different response if Mr. Zirgulis had to look us all in the eye as he crafted his response.
