I just noticed we have reached 100 members in this Culver City Natatorium “Begin Again” campaign, group. Thank you all for supporting this cause. Swimming is great sport and a lifelong activity that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Squidin has teamed up with both past and present professional sports champions, athletic coaches, places and sportswriters in order to create one of the largest platforms for sports content.

Sarah Poewe was my daughters’ coach at The Plunge until she went home to train for London 2012. Here is what she had to say yesterday at http://squidin.com/u/9525/viewpost/1046#user-blog

“This past weekend, I took part at our German Short Course Nationals, here in my hometown, Wuppertal. It was a successful weekend, considering this competition was just another “TEST” towards my Olympic preparation. Competing in all three breaststroke events (50m/100m/200m), I would have to say that winning the 100m was the highlight of my weekend. Close friends and locals from Wuppertal were able to share the special moment with me, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Unfortunately I could not share my win with my mother and brother Jean-Claude (back home in South Africa), but knowing of my results, I was fortunate enough to chat to them after the race. In moments like these, I do wish I could share my excitement with them but I know deep down that they are swimming with me all the way.

“So, now my short course season is over and all preps are towards the Olympic Trials.”
