Last year he spent a week in Jamaica as a missionary with Mustardseed Communities who provide housing for abandoned handicapped children including children with aids.
Last year after the Indian Ocean tsunami, he was a prime mover in organizing Southern California restaurants to run Cheers Week as a fundraiser. During that week, Mehaul raised $5,000 for the tsunami relief fund.
Recently he heard of a family with an autistic child, which was having trouble financially keeping their child in a special education facility in Orange County. He donated the proceeds from a Saturday evening at Joxer Daly’s to the family.
A vote for Mehaul on April 11 will be a vote for the people of Culver City.
