Re Today’s The Lowdown

Last I knew Mehaul O’Leary was a City Council Member.

He has not even been Mayor yet, but in today's “The Lowdown,” the newspaper has declared him "King O’Leary".

Since this is not April Fool’s Day, you may want to correct make a correction to improve the newspaper’s credibility.

If you don't make the change soon, myself and other peasants may get upset with you and storm the castle.

Look at how The Lowdown reads:

On Saturdays and Sundays, from Aug. 9 to Aug. 31, the Culver City acting company presents “King O'Leary.” Performances take place outdoors in Media Park, adjacent to the Ivy Substation, at 11 a.m., both weekend mornings, and admission is free…

King O’Leary is the third production developed by The Actors' Gang Children's Theater Initiative, a pilot program supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts; the James Irvine Foundation; the city of Los Angeles Dept. of Cultural Affairs; Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the Redevelopment Agency.

[Editor’s Note: Shakespeare, author of the original production, was unavailable for comment this morning, publicists for The Actors’ Gangs only confirmed the king’s surname. They did not know what his first name was, or if he ever used it.]
