Never Too Late to be Correct

[Editor’s Note: After a slight delay of five years and 10 months, a reader who prefers anonymity corrects errors in a story about the historic closing of a Sepulveda Boulevard camera store.]

I would like to provide a correction that is kind of important for future folks trying to find a piece of Culver City history.

Regarding your story:

… the original 1949 business owner (and his shop) are misspelled and misnamed.

Mr. Moffett (two t's) owned Moffett’s Camera Supplies, the official name of the shop, as printed on a 1968 merchandise bag in my possession.

I was surprised on the Web that I couldn't find a single reference to Moffett's Camera, as it was commonly called, or more often just called Moffett's.

I lived near the store when I was a photo nut many years ago.

It would be great if you could correct the spelling (and the name of the shop) for future researchers. Am glad I found you by taking a chance and altering the spelling in my umpteenth Google search.
