I am writing in support of Measure Y.
I believe that Culver City residents enjoy an outstanding city with excellent services in ‘most every area. Unfortunately, due to the national economic depression, Culver City has suffered a significant loss of revenue and already has cut personnel, budgets, and services to a great extent.
Voting in Measure Y will put some revenue back into the city’s coffers and prevent further services from being cut. Nearly everyone can afford an additional nickel per $10 spent in Culver City.
Even better is that the Culver City half-cent sales tax revenues will stay completely in Culver City.
I would urge our citizens to vote Yes for Measure Y on Nov. 6.
