School Board candidate Robert Zirgulis at Vets Park with his Natatorium petition.

I went to the Culver City Plunge on Saturday to circulate the petition “Fix Our Culver City School Natatorium Swimming Pool.”

The response was overwhelming.  I ran out of petitions in less than two hours, and I collected 150 signatures in support of refurbishing the Culver City school pool.

Currently there are 133 online signatures, 80 from my yard sale and 150 from Saturday for a total of 363 people who want the pool fixed.  All these signatures were collected with minimal effort.

I would hope that the City Council members and present School Board members take note about the massive public support for fixing the school pool.

Supporters for fixing the pool have a prepared Request for Proposal that deals meticulously with how the pool can be fixed and maintained without the School District spending any money.

I am forwarding a pdf that was sent to me, a Request for Proposal for the
Natatorium.
