Re “First-time Candidate Hoping to Raise Enough Money”

We came in No. 1 as the campaign that raised the most money, not including the personal money that candidates loaned their campaign.
We made this happen with small and large donations. We raised our money one donor at a time, one contribution at a time.
This is an important first step in what we are trying to accomplish together, and with continued momentum, we will be ready for next March’s election.
This campaign is about restoring the promise that every Californian should have access to a high quality, affordable college education. This campaign is about getting a solid college education, strong career opportunities and students' future.
