I want to congratulate four Culver City High School music students, from the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts program, who were selected last weekend to perform with the Cal State L.A. High School Honor Band.

Senior Natalie Argueta (percussion), junior Marlee Blackwell (flute), sophomore Steven Torres (percussion) and freshman Milo Bechtloff Weising (clarinet) performed a wide range of Concert Band music under the direction of Dr. Emily Moss.

Both Milo and Marlee were placed first-chair in their respective sections after auditions.
