A reminder that the Culver City High School Casino Night is approaching fast.

Saturday, March 15, Vets Auditorium will be turned into a virtual casino with table games, raffles and an amazing silent/live auction.

Your $35 admission ticket gives you access to the local restaurant-donated food and the biggest dessert bar this side of Las Vegas.

Local businesses have been incredibly generous with donations for the live and silent auction.

At stake: More than 75 restaurant gift cards, four hotel stays, four chances at a much-needed massage, 28 excursions, including tickets to Disneyland, the Education Foundation’s Tribute to the Stars, Magic Mountain and the Magic Castle.

Are you looking for a place to work out?  Look no further. You can bid on gifts from four different local fitness clubs.  All told, as of today, we have 170 silent auction items, with more coming in daily.

The Live Auction includes autographed USC photos, a Blake Griffin autographed basketball, an L.A. Kings autographed jersey, a Magic Johnson autographed basketball, and four tickets plus your son/daughter (or niece/nephew, or just any kid you like) being the honorary ballboy at an upcoming Clippers game.

Not into sports?  Not a problem.  You can bid on lunch with Police Chief Don Pedersen, a private tour of the Culver City Fire Dept., a gourmet meal for four cooked at your home by a professional private chef, or even have Mayor Jeff Cooper as your personal servant for two hours.

Do you know a graduating Culver City High School senior?  Beat the crowds and the watch graduation from the comforts of the press box at Jerry Chabola Stadium. Yes, you can win that, too, at Casino Night.

Of course, if you don’t come, you can’t win any of these great prizes. You can’t buy a ticket for a shot at winning your own, California-legal video poker machine, you can’t test your blackjack skills against 500 of your favorite people, and you can’t partake in the dessert bar.

Tickets are just $35.  If you are interested, please let me know. I can have a student come by and sell you tickets.

I look forward to seeing each of you at Casino Night.
