Re “Culver High vs. Student: Should She Be Allowed to Play?

Mr. Cohn, it's great to see that you have no idea as to who Jerry Chabola is with your blanket statements.

As a former student/athlete of his, education in and out of the classroom comes first.

It's unfortunate that you have taken an issue of dedication and commitment to the local papers to try and prove your point.

The last person you should have dragged into that discussion is Mr. Chabola.

There is not an employee in this district or person in this community who exemplifies those two things more than him.

Your issue is with commitment.

Would you want to work with someone on a project or grant, only to have them miss the implemenation of that project or grant that may or may not be selected?

Actually isn't this a great educational experience, that every choice in life has effects.

Some you like. Some you don't.

But in the end, this life is about making choices.

It seems to me that your daughter is being taught one of life’s great lessons.

Maybe you are the one missing your educational moment.

As for Youth and Government, have you ever attended a weekend there?

I look forward to reading your response with first-hand, truthful statements from students who attend this weekend.

Please make sure they include the details of what happens after the meetings.

I have the details. It will be interesting to read yours.
