Happy New Year.

As you try to find space for all those nice and not-quite-right gifts you received over the holidays, please keep the Friends of the Library in mind.

If you received something you won't use, rather than storing it until the next white elephant gift exchange or until you clean the closet, why not donate it to the Friends of the Library for our silent auction at the Annual Meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 6:30 at the Radisson Hotel?

Your donation is tax deductible since the Friends is a non-profit organization.

The money raised from the silent auction, as with other funds we raise, goes toward helping the Julian Dixon Library.

We buy books the librarians want, pay for programs at the library, buy equipment and other similar items. Your donation helps the Friends meet the needs of the Library not met by the County Library System budget.

Items for the silent auction can be left at the library, and they should be labeled “CC Friends of the Library.”

Or you can reply to this email and we will pick up your donation. If you do leave items at the library, make sure your name is on the label so that we know whom to thank.

Please return the notice you receive in the mail or reply to this email so we know that you will be attending the meeting and dinner.
