On Tuesday morning, our community has a golden opportunity.

At the County Board of Supervisors meeting in downtown Los Angeles, our County Supervisor, Mark Ridley-Thomas, will initiate a motion to study and consider amending the previously approved Baldwin Hills Community Standards District (CSD) ordinance.

This is being done for the benefit of the residents in our community.

He recognizes that safer oil drilling must be established, and is fighting for your safety and health.

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas needs our support.

Residents living adjacent to the oil fields must show up in great numbers at the hearing to encourage all the supervisors to vote in favor of this motion.

If you need transportation to the hearing, we are providing free bus service from Raintree Plaza.

It is important for you to RSVP by email or to telephone to assure we have enough busses to accommodate all who want to come.

RSVP to whha2008@gmail.com or call 310.204.0570 or 323.299.1487.

It is important to support Supervisor Ridley-Thomas’s efforts to protect our community regarding oil field safety.

The Culver City bus pickup point will be near Ralphs and Denny’s at Raintree Plaza, corner fo Overland and Jefferson, starting at 8:30 and departing at 8:45.

In Windsor Hills, the bus pickup will be behind the Sachi Japanese restaurant, the northeast corner of Slauson and Overhill, loading at 9 and departing at 9:15.
