Re “District Says ‘No’ to ACE, and Union Ready to Prepare Grievance”
We are pleased that the School District has decided that they couldn't bargain with the union on behalf of adjuncts at El Marino Language School.
We are hoping the School Board will unanimously support a clear policy like the one suggested by Board members Laura Chardiet and Kathy Paspalis, which protects volunteers, parent-funded positions, and parent-funded programs at all Culver City schools now that there is no legal barrier.
This has taught parents the need for them to be united across all Culver City schools. We are getting overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents from all Culver City schools.
It continues to be a pleasure to work together on behalf of all of the students.
Ms. Stehlin, who last month initiated a parent-driven petition to protect the El Marino adjuncts and others, which drew nearly 1,200 signatures, may be contacted at jwiz@earthlink.net
‘Drop Your Foolhardy Grievance’
From Susan Clarke
A quick solution to ACE union lerder Debbie Hamme's prediction of, “It will be months and months of community turmoil…”:
Drop your foolhardy grievance against the School District regarding El Marino adjuncts.
Problem solved.
She should move on to her next project – assisting her unionist Board member cohorts in fending off a likely recall.
