I realize this School Board race is Nancy Goldberg's initial foray into the art of political campaigning.
But when courting County Supervisors for an endorsement, she should understand when she hitches her wagon to an elected official (Mark Ridley-Thomas) who wasted taxpayer dollars to the tune of over $500,000 to renovate his office space during a time when most working families can't afford to fix our leaky roofs, peeling paint, or chipped stucco on our home, voters will take notice.
Election Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and while some of us haven't had children in school for 20 years or more and we are just getting to know some of the first-time candidates, we will look at who you choose to surround yourself with to determine how you will spend our taxpayer dollars.
