As a recent transplant to the Los Angeles area, I was welcomed to Culver City with open arms by Christopher Patrick King, a candidate for the City Council in Tuesday’s election.

In my two years here, I have had the opportunity to witness Christopher Patrick King’s leadership in a number of organizations. His involvement as President of the Culver City Rotary Club (as well as a marathon coach for Beit T’Shuvah (just to name a couple), displays his ability to put his passion for helping people into practice. In addition, I’ve seen Mr. King’s dedication to public service through last year’s Homelessness Count. Not only was he responsible for organizing over 60 people to canvas the Culver City area, he also “walked the talk” as he assisted in counting and distributing resources to nearly 20 homeless people.

Over the last two years, Mr. King’s selflessness and genuine care for the people he comes in contact with should serve as a shining example of a loyal and hardworking member of society who is focused on building a strong community.
