Both Sides, Not Just One, Should Be Heard in Fracking Debate

As readers know, the oil companies don't like me because I want to tax them to get money for our schools. The anti-oil fanatics don't like me because I raise questions about their agenda and misleading pseudo environmentalists about the dangers of fracking 8,000 feet underground.

I would like to see a real public debate between the oil drilling company PXP and the people who want to ban fracking in Culver City. It is a joke to hold so-called workshops, such as Tuesday night’s at City Hall, where only one side is presented.

I would like to see a public debate where the anti-fracking people presented their evidence and PXP could be given a chance to present their evidence. We need honest, legitimate debate. Not hysteria ginned up to scare the public by anti-oil fanatics.

I publicly approved of the settlement made by the City Council and PXP even though I thought the millions of dollars spent on the lawsuit was unnecessary.

I would like to see a public debate on the fracking issue before the city tries to ban fracking and cost millions more in lawsuits that the taxpayers can't afford.
