Are Some More Equal Than Others?

In these times of unsure and ever-changing, regressive state funding for K-12 education, it does not look or feel right when some School District employees receive annual salary increases based only on their longevity, while other long-time, loyal classified employees are actually losing their jobs.

Is this what Culver City Federation of Teachers President David Mielke meant when he stepped up to the public microphon, and called for all District employees to “share the pain equally?”

I can only guess that the Teachers Union feels that some of its membership is “more equal” than others, say, classified employees.
