The Friends of the Culver City Youth Health Center once again will have a booth at Fiesta La Ballona this year.
The booth will be open on Saturday, Aug, 24, featuring a wheel of fortune game with multiple chances of winning prizes. A raffle will be held for another chance to win a prize. Free bookmarks, band-aid holders, and a variety of health-related materials will be available to visitors. You will have an opportunity to review your health knowledge.
Dr. Sarah Carpenter, incoming Friends’ President and Health Center doctor, will be there to answer questions, share concerns, and assist with membership sign-ups. There may also be some special surprises. Stop by and see.
The Health Center is on the campus of Culver City High School and Middle School. Free physical and mental health services are provided to children living in Culver City or attending Culver City schools. The nonprofit Center is supported through grants and donations. The Friends group serves as the fundraising arm of the Health Center.
