Re “A Test for Ridley-Thomas – Will He Cross His Colleagues?

I enjoyed yesterday’s story about County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and the Board of Supervisors’ coming debate over whether a cross should be restored to the County seal.

I have attached an email that I sent to Supes Mike Antonovich and Don Knabe, who have proposed that the cross be restored. I don't expect any response from them as they will no doubt play it safe.

Not sure if the contents can be conformed into an article … Perhaps you and I could write this as a joint-article if you want to edit and add to it.

I believe there's merit here to stirring things up for new thinking and broader evaluation overall.

I had no knowledge that the “stars” on the seal depict the “motion picture and television industry.” And with Joel Stein's 2008 Los Angeles Times article, he certainly leaves the door open to seriously challenge the entertainment industry and who controls it, and why the cross was removed in the first place.

I am troubled by all this, particularly with Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and the ACLU having a heavy hand in it.

When I first met with the ACLU attorneys in 2009, I let them know that I was not impressed by their cross-chasing, and that there were other more important issues.

My letter:

Sent: 1/2/2014 8:55:52 A.M. Pacific Standard Time
Subj: LA County Seal

Dear Supervisors Antonovich and Knabe:

God Bless both of you for standing up and defending the true heritage of Los Angeles and the L.A. County Seal.

Unfortunately, this issue is just another of the many times that the ACLU is wrong. Nevertheless, they did get it right with our two lawsuits against the VA bureaucrats.

However, from the L.A. Times article: “The county's greatest strength is its diversity, religious and otherwise,” said Mark Rosenbaum, chief counsel of the ACLU of Southern California. “Placing a cross, the universal symbol of Christianity, back on the seal communicates that L.A. County favors one religion above all others and above the decision not to practice any. (My underline for emphasis.)

In the past, I complained to Supervisor Antonovich about the cow on the L.A. Seal and think it reflects the religious beliefs of Hinduism, Zoroastrianism and other religions that proclaim the “cow to be sacred.”

In fact, Mahatma Gandhi so revered the cow that he once declared: “I worship it and I shall defend its worship against the whole world … the central fact of Hinduism is cow protection.”

He also said: “My religion teaches me that I should by personal conduct instill into the minds of those who might hold different views, the conviction that cow-killing is a sin and that, therefore, it ought to be abandoned.” http://www.mkgandhi.org/momgandhi/chap81.htm

Thus, if the cross is removed because it represents a symbol of Christianity, then the cow, which represents a symbol of Hinduism, must be removed.

Yesterday, the Daily Breeze and Daily News featured an article about your taking on the Los Angeles County Seal/Cross issue.

Holy war brewing: Los Angeles County supervisors seek return of cross to county sealChristina Villacorte

In this article, ACLU's Mr. Rosenbaum declares: “This thinly veiled attempt to smuggle the cross into the seal will fool no one; it will reopen the debate about the separation of church and state, distract officials from pressing questions, and risk the lawsuit and liability supervisors once wisely avoided.” (My underline for emphasis.)

More from the Daily Breeze: The current seal has a drawing of an American-Indian woman on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, against a backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains. She is surrounded by three images on each side — the Spanish galleon San Salvador, a tuna fish, the championship cow Pearlette, the Hollywood Bowl, a triangle and caliper, and stars representing the motion picture and television industries. (My underline for emphasis.)

Correspondingly, consider the stars on the L.A. County Seal that depict “motion picture and television industries, i.e., private entertainment companies.

If the ACLU wants to eliminate the cross and any semblance of it, then one has to consider that the “stars” representing the motion picture and television industries appear to be smuggled onto the Seal as a guise for the Star of David, a symbol representing the Jewish religion.

If anyone doubts that Hollywood and the entertainment Industry isn't controlled by those of the Jewish faith, then there is no better testimony and confirmation than this arrogant and braggadocios article in the Los Angeles Times:

Who runs Hollywood? C'mon” – December 19, 2008 – Joel Stein

http://articles.latimes.com/2008/dec/19/opinion/oe-stein19

<< The Jews are so dominant, I had to scour the trades to come up with six Gentiles in high positions at entertainment companies. When I called them to talk about their incredible advancement, five of them refused to talk to me, apparently out of fear of insulting Jews. The sixth, AMC President Charlie Collier, turned out to be Jewish.>>

As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood. Without us, you'd be flipping between “The 700 Club” and “Davey and Goliath” on TV all day.>> (My underline for emphasis.)

Thus, with the stars representing the motion picture and television industries, one can legitimately paraphrase Mr. Rosenbaum: The thinly veiled attempt to smuggle the Star of David into the seal will fool no one.

Note “The 700 Club” is Pat Robertson's “Christian” program that the far-left makes a mockery of, and “Davey and Goliath” was a 1960s animated children's Christian television series, produced by the Lutheran Church in America.

Accordingly, Mr. Stein puffs up Jewish dominance in the television industry while putting down Christianity television programming.

It's no secret that Hollywood's glorification of crime, drugs, violence, etc., is founded upon a blatant lack of any morals and subsequently contributes to a great deal of today's problems in America. All of this greed for money is at the expense of creating a depraved society, and it can be laid on the doorstep of the entertainment companies.

Make no mistake; Hollywood has become a “religion” advocating no morals and it demeans Christianity, which promotes a moral society.

So, why is there a glorification of Hollywood's perverted religion on the Los Angeles County Seal?

Reflect back to 2004 from an LA Times article;

Facing Suit, County to Remove Seal's CrossJune 02, 2004 – Sue Fox

http://articles.latimes.com/2004/jun/02/local/me-seal2

“Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky suggested replacing the cross with a rendering of a Spanish mission, or some other historical image. Yaroslavsky, who is Jewish, asked his colleagues to “try to walk a mile in the other guy's shoes,” whatever their feelings about the cross. “I don't personally believe that any religious symbol on any government seal is appropriate,” he said. (My underline for emphasis.)

Okay, Zev, walk your talk and remove the cow and the stars from the L.A. County Seal.

Here are a couple other comments regarding the former and new Los Angeles County Seals:

In the former Seal, it shows a cross and two stars in gold with a white background, which almost makes them faint and indistinguishable. However, on the new Seal, the gold stars really stand out with a red background.

On the former Seal, oil derricks are depicted as part of L.A.'s history and that is accurate. In fact, it predates the entertainment industry.

Watch this video that's about the West Los Angeles VA land fraud and mistreatment of homeless Veterans. Moreover, it shows great history about when the land was deeded and the subsequent history of Los Angeles, including the Mulholland water project, oil well drilling, entertainment industry, etc.

Homeless Heroes in Back Alley Squalor

http://www.infowars.com/paulrevere/truth-freedom/homeless-heroes-veterans-in-back-alley-squalor/

The oil derricks need to replace the “stars” and “Hollywood Bowl,” which depict the entertainment industry, as confirmed by Joel Stein: As a proud Jew, I want America to know about our accomplishment. Yes, we control Hollywood.”

By the way, there's an oil well on Veterans property and it was first leased by Dr. Armand Hammer/Occidental Petroleum, and the lease rights have been sold and re-sold. In addition to the drilling revenues going to private industry, the royalties go to the Department of Interior, not the VA.

Also, suggest replacing the cow on the Seal with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which is the first stadium to have hosted the Olympic Games twice –1932 and 1984. It was also home to the Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams and L.A. Raiders, and hosted Super Bowls, World Series, JFK's 1960 acceptance as the Democratic Party's Presidential candidate, etc.

Those are my thoughts and opinions and if they can help the overall cause, feel free to use them and you don't have to give me any recognition. This is for the greater good of Los Angeles and its true history as opposed to “another takeover” and rewriting of history. Thanks again for standing up and challenging this hijacking of the LA County Seal. It's time to stir things up and go from defense to offense. Challenge them heavily and take the fight to them — don't let them accuse you of racism, “fear of insulting Jews” or whatnot, as that's been the Democrats’ MO, and the Republicans always back down. No more! It's time to take Los Angeles and America back.
