Just curious.
Who is this District Attorney who was so eager to press charges against the now-deceased and terribly missed Albert Vera? (Response below.)
I would love to hear a statement from that non-contributing zero now that Albert has passed away from n very unexpected heart attack.
As I'm sure you know, Albert Vera was a friend to the community, a family man, and a dedicated politician and businessman.
He lost one son, was losing another to the same demon, all while watching the health of his wife-of-forever slip away.
That, and running a successful business is, I am sure, an immeasurable amount of stress that didn't need to be amplified by an ambitious D.A. who was probably only looking at this as a career move.
Nothing personal. I know I'm just upset that he's gone.
We lost a good man. Albert Vera will be missed.

[Editor’s Note: Six weeks ago, on April 16, a vendor at Mr. Vera’s Sorrento Italian Market alleged that the owner pulled a gun on him during a business dispute. A court hearing was scheduled for yesterday morning.]
