For four days in mid-March, the Blurred Vision Theatre Co. of Culver City High School’s Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, AVPA, will present its spring musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, by Stephen Sondheim.

Considered one of the masterpieces of the Broadway stage, Sweeney Todd has entertained audiences with its haunting themes, music, and fascinating tale. Showtimes are Thursday, March 15, through Saturday, March 17, at 7 o’clock, and Sunday March 18, at the Robert Frost Auditorium, 4401 Elenda St.

However, to make this production a successful experience for our students, additional fundraising is necessary. We need your help to sponsor the wonderful work our kids are doing, working for the last two months preparing this fabulous production.

Please consider becoming a Sweeney Sponsor by making a donation today. You may make the donation one of two ways:

• To go through PayPal or send a check via this page at avpa.org: Click here to donate by PayPal or how to send in a check.

• Go to our new ticketing website to purchase tickets and/or make a donation today with your credit card. Click here to go to tickets and donations via credit card.

Your sponsorship will help fund a professional vocal coach, lighting designer and sound engineer who will bring their expertise to the entire cast and crew.

Your sponsorship means a professional team, high quality sound and set design, and an enriching experience for each and every student who has been working, learning, and dedicating their passion to this production.

For your sponsorship, each donor will be acknowledged in our printed program. Hundred-dollar donors will also receive premium reserved seats.

We thank you for all your enduring support of our program, and this last push before Sweeney Todd opens will help us fulfill our kids' dreams of performing this masterpiece on our Robert Frost Auditorium stage.
