Last Friday I was driving down Elenda Street, and wow! It was a 3-minute drive.
Usually it takes 25 to 30 minutes to get my son to the Culver City Middle School.
I noticed a man in a black uniform with a green vest and blowing a whistle.
The traffic nightmare down Elenda has been solved.
When I spoke to a few parents and faculty at both the high school and Middle School offices, they informed me that the Security Supervisor Ted Yant has recommended this traffic control. It was implemented to assist faculty, students and staff to get here in time and without a hassle.
I love this new traffic control officer.
Mr. Noonan, can you use some insiders to find out if this will be in effect the rest of the school year?
Or will this be another teaser and just fade away and become a traffic nightmare once again.
I hear that the traffic officer positioned at the corner of Farragut and Elenda is the only one qualified in the school.
I wanted you to post this in hopes other parents and staff can write to the School Board and keep this position in place.
Can you look into this please and give us feedback so we can assist the School Board, keep the traffic flowing and prevent it from becoming a nightmare.
Thanks again, and keep the traffic flowing.

A response from Supt. Patti Jaffe:
“The traffic mitigation measures will remain in place for the foreseeable future, and we are continuing to evaluate.”
