Re: Ahem. A Lesson in Basic Real Estate
I had not planned to start a pen-pal relationship with Robert Zirgulis when I first wrote a letter to the Frontpage Online, but it would appear that Mr. Zirgulis is so comfortable making assumptions about someone who's hand he shook a month ago that I have to respond yet again. At that time he struck me as a nice fellow who was willing to take people at face value – apparently no more.
I was distressed when he referred to me as a shill – and now he is implying that I have “handlers”. Obviously Mr. Zirgulis has let his dual obsessions, the Natorium and PXP drilling go to his head. Neither of these topics actually matter in the day to day running of a School Board. The Natorium argument is sensational and speculative. On the issue of PXP oil drilling and what I have seen and read lead me to believe that Mr. Zirgulis likes the limelight more than the hands on administrative work, which combines teamworkand compromise – and listening without making comments about the person talking. If my very mild comments have upset him, I have no doubt that he may be better suited to working as a PXP lobbyist or getting a RE consortium together and making a bid on the Natorium. I hope that this will end the subjects, but with three weeks to go I can say this – Mr. Z remember the next time you knock on a door or offer to shake someones hand ask them if they know me – I grew up here.
