Re “We Need More Than One Officer

Every school day on Sawtelle Boulevard at El Rincon School, there is a troubling scene similar to the dangerous situation that John Heyl described again yesterday in his letter about the Quad-Campus at Farragut and Elenda.

Cars are parked in a zone clearly marked No Parking. This causes additional parents to double-park or sit idling on Sawtelle. In addition, Grayridge Drive has become the U-turn and parking lot for parents picking up their children, causing an unsafe situation on this tiny block.

Parking enforcement rarely comes out, and the Culver City Police Dept. never does.

A real solution must be found to ensure the safety of the students as well as the residents in these areas.
