Re “Err-Filtration in the Classroom”

After reading George Laase’s post regarding air filtration at El Marino Language School, it struck me that it would be a great time to re-introduce your readers to a wonderful group called Advocates for Clear Air El Marino.

Advocates for Clean Air El Marino is a group of parents and teachers dedicated to researching information and advocating for ways of improving the air quality that children, teachers and staff breathe at school. The group is helmed by Rania Sabty-Daily and Stephon Litwinczuk. It has a healthy list of parent and teacher supporters, as well as CCUSD School Board member Nancy Goldberg, City Councilmember Meghan Sahli-Wells and United Parents of Culver City, among others.

The group has been active in improving air quality at El Marino organizing indoor classroom cleaning, launching a “no idling” campaign during student drop-off and pickup, and researching air filtration.
