What’s it like being Culver City‘s “Most Feared Truthteller?”

Has its positives and negatives like any other “NOVEL” idea against status quo.

Truth is, it’s a boring existence. Occasionally you get noise from some partied-up soul still intoxicated from all those campaign launch fumes. Never had to go past the first round, though. Undefeated by the way. Perfect 4 and 0.

Now Mr. “Z,” Robert Zirgulis, has issues at least weekly. Lost count. Some people have all the luck.

Your message?

REVOLUTION!

Rating politicians by action speaks louder than words.

They will have an opportunity to respond if they choose. So far none has picked that option. Ever. Doubt if anything will change. How do you challenge the TRUTH?

Motivation for running.

Our “KIDS.”

Much prefer classroom interaction with kids. It is fascinating to help little people grow. Times are changing for kids, and not for the better, either. Education has taken a turn for the worst. Critical condition and failing. Culver City is no different.

Guess what the politicians, selected/elected, are saying (more like praying)? Culver City has great schools.

One District school went from Distinguished in 2007 to California’s 1,000 “WORST” performing schools list in 2010-11, during attorneys Gourley and Zeidman’s lead years on the School Board with Karlo Silbiger and Prof. Siever (s)trapped in along for the ride. Attorney Paspalis says it’s “LUDICROUS.”

Personally heartfelt for me, Culver City’s Education Foundation “Volunteer of Year,” Linwood Howe Elementary School. My younger son (fourth grade) attends Linwood Howe (Title I) School. My older son (now in 12th grade) also attended from 2nd grade. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-6363/GettingAcquaintedWithaNewContenderfortheSchoolBoard

Energetic Principal Amy Anderson is refreshing and invigorating. Teachers and staff are dedicated and hardworking. Scores do not reflect the intelligence of our kids. If given proper resources, test scores would rival any school in most districts.

Problem lies with District and School Board not allocating resources to assist school’s diverse population. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-8507/ASlightlySkepticalPerspectiveontheCommunity

While crying or lying that District is not broke (made state’s School Districts Insolvent list), student attendance (days off) and classroom sizes increased.

Regular employee’ forced salary cuts (furlough days) and pay freezes (no raises for years to come) are expected to carry the load. Alone and quietly.

OVERSIGHT committee accused by a Board member of using BRAILLE . Rumor has it committee is considered top contender for “Helen Keller Award.” http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-8319/IAmWaitingtoHearBackfromtheSchoolDistrict

Attorney Zeidman claims to have implemented “award winning” (first one in state) “Anti-Bullying” task force. http://www.thefrontpageonline.com/new/articles1-9342/ZeidmanMakesItOfficialHeallsRunningforaSecondTerm
