Isn’t This the Pepsi, Not the Beer, Generation?

We had a Presidential race relations meeting with beer, and here I thought “things went better with Coke.”

Aren’t we living in the Pepsi Generation?

Personally, I like Diet Mountain Dew.

However, I must make a double confession.

One, I don’t drink. (An Irishman who doesn’t drink? Something must be wrong.)

Second, I really don’t like soda that well, but I tolerate a small amount of “Dew” since I also don’t like coffee.

Now about President Obama.

No President can call a police officer stupid, on national television, and not expect repercussions.

The President even admitted he didn’t have the facts. He should have kept his mouth shut. The President is NOT being picked on. He brings it on himself.

The  Wrong Solution

Another problem the President brought on himself is healthcare reform.

I must admit, although I am not surprised, he did get AARP to sell out the elderly quickly, since that organization is supporting his bill.

There is nothing good for us older folks, or for that matter the younger ones, in the healthcare bill that the President is trying to cram it down our throats.

Don’t get me wrong.  The healthcare industry need correcting.

But this bill is NOT the answer. If it passes, next month or later, it will create more problems for everyone.

Should the bill pass, all of us will be paying higher taxes, and our grandchildren will continue to pay long after we’re gone.

It could be a good program for those of us who are in good health and plan to stay healthy the rest of our lives.  When it does come time to die, no need to worry. You will be instructed on how you will die.

The publisher of this newspaperhas been accused of picking on the President. I believe our President is going out of his way to keep us, as well as some of his own party members, dissatisfied with his actions and programs.

We need individuals like the publisher Ari Noonan as well as those involved in the Tea Party movement, to let all elected officials know that we are not happy with what is taking place in Washington.

The same is true for the State Houses, City Halls, Town Halls and School Boards around the country.  We, the people, must get our government back.  Thanks to thefrontpageonline.com, we are able to be kept informed on issues of the day.

Washington still is dishing out money as if it grows on the trees on the White House lawn.

We’ve had withholding reductions, bailouts, stimulus money, cash for purchasing a home and now it’s money to buy a car.

Get this.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a foreign or American car, just as long as it gets better mileage than your clunker.

Isn’t there something wrong with this picture?

There still is at least one independent American car company. I know cars are being produced with American names, but who really owns them?  For that matter, taking that question a step farther, who owns America?  The Chinese hold a large portion of our debt, and they are not happy with what is taking place in Washington.  What would happen to our country if they called in the debt?

My personal finances aren’t the best. I’m good at picking stocks that are losers, like banks.

I wonder if the President would send me a seedling from one of the money trees in his yard.
